Life on the road deserves a little more pleasure & convenience.
Over many years and well over 100,000 miles of travel in our Flying Cloud 25, we've replaced, rebuilt, or improved much of the original factory equipment. We've gathered those projects into a three-part series — the bathroom, the kitchen and galley, and the exterior. Most of the upgrades are generic and will work in virtually any Airstream model. Some make a good weekend DIY project; others are best left to a trusted Airstream technician. Each guide is also available in French.

The smallest room in the trailer gets a surprising amount of use. These ten bathroom improvements range from a stainless heated towel rail and water-heater indicator LEDs to a white Corian countertop, a porcelain vessel sink with a tall mixer faucet, and a black-walnut framed mirror — plus clever storage, a built-in trash bin and a paper towel dispenser tucked into otherwise wasted space.
The galley is where the factory equipment showed its age first. This second installment covers twelve kitchen improvements: a Corian countertop with a trap-door trash bin, a tall single-lever faucet, a Furrion gas range and brighter LED hood light, magnetic cabinet catches, a Mopeka propane level monitor, and a handful of custom storage solutions for mugs, plates and the under-sink cabinet.
The third installment moves outside the trailer. It covers the switch to 16″ wheels and light-truck tires, tire pressure monitoring, an EasyStart soft starter for the air conditioner, a transparent door panel, Starlink on a telescopic pole, solar panels with lithium batteries and an inverter, under-floor storage tubes, and stainless replacements for the water inlet, exhaust fan and wasp-proof furnace and water heater vents.
